May Newsletter

Hello Reader,

“It is now May. It is the month wherein nature hath her fill of mirth and the senses are filled with delights. I conclude it is from the Heavens, a grace, and to Earth, a gladness.” – Nicholas Breton

Celebration

Have you ever caught yourself thinking "wow, this is a lot easier than it used to be" when you were on a walk or in the middle of an exercise routine? I had one of those moments today and it was lovely. Success and rewards for our efforts may be small, but are always worth celebrating.

Caregiving Coaching

I am so excited to launch my signature Caregiver Coaching program! I have spent years often more worried about the person bringing my patient to appointments than I was about the patient.

This program helps overwhelmed caregivers navigate the healthcare system, have consistent energy to get more done in less time, and feel strong physically & emotionally, all without neglecting their caregiving responsibilities.

Monthly Health Tip: Seasonal Allergies

With Spring in full bloom and pollen everywhere, it's time to talk about seasonal allergies, aka hay fever or allergic rhinitis. I've had full blown seasonal allergies for as long as I can remember. I've noticed that the years I drink the most kombucha, the less I need allergy medicine. I've also been more consistent with taking MSM this year and so far have not needed any other medication. It's such a relief to be able to breathe through my nose and not be so drowsy from anti-histamines. To learn more about these approaches to allergies, check out the links below.

Hello Reader, "Spring is made of solid, fourteen-karat gratitude, the reward for the long wait. Every religious tradition from the northern hemisphere honors some form of April hallelujah, for this is the season of exquisite redemption, a slam-bang return to joy after a season of cold second thoughts.” -- Barbara Kingsolver Reflections & Musings April must be the most colorful month of the year. As I write this newsletter, I am looking out my window marveling at the plant life. The redbud...

Hello Reader, “In March winter is holding back and spring is pulling forward. Something holds and something pulls inside of us too.”― Jean Hersey Reflections & Musings This time of year is full of the energy of endings and beginnings. Winter is coming a close, the first spring flowers are starting to emerge, but there is no clean delineation. The temperature ping pongs between 60 and 25 degrees. It's May in the sun and January in the shade. Yet we know, we trust that Spring is arriving. I...

Hello Reader, “If January is the month of change, February is the month of lasting change. January is for dreamers… February is for doers.”— Marc Parent Reflections & Musings Ah, change. At times so easy; at other times, so elusive. I find I do best with a bit of inspired action, but the follow through and maintenance are much harder for me. That's where systems and accountability really come into play - mainly to save me from myself. If you're in need of some lasting change, perhaps you're...
